In partnership with Urban Word NYC, Harlem Stage presents Upton Open for a sixth popular year.  This youth driven and youth organized spoken word and poetry showcase enhances powers of verbal expression and literacy and gives young people an opportunity to participate in an active dialogue about their values, concerns, and experiences through the creative process of writing and performance.
