Malaika’s Thanksgiving Meal – 2013

T'giving meal 2013A simple tasty mini-feast: turkey breast roasted with carrots, onions and celery, spiced with thyme, sage, garlic, sea salt and cayenee; sweet potatoes with butter and nutmeg; string beans sauteed with garlic, homemade cranberry sauce, including lemon zest and maple syrup. The cornbread this year: by Whole Foods. (I’ll use the stale bread for dressing.) A strong cup of coffee with warm milk to fortify me when I go out in the cold later to meet friends for drinks, talk and laughter.
